International Relations

This was a design project for one of Dublin City University's new PhD programme. My role was to create the visual design and style for the site.

The department wanted to create a site that would make their course stand out from other courses, as well as sell DCU and Ireland as a place to study.

The direction I took used a striking and unconventional colour scheme, along with an image of the Fuller projection map, which visually represents the goals of the prospective students.

DCU Centre for International Studies

After a successful design for the International Relations site shown above the client approached me again, this time to redesign the site for the entire Centre for International Studies in DCU.

This design required a more conventional approach – one which conveyed the authority, confidence and respectability of the centre and it's programmes.

John Hayes

I was commissioned to create this site for John Hayes, an Irish film and commercials Director. The brief was to create a site that was visually engaging, non-corporate, with a paper, textured feel. I took that brief and evolved it to end up with the of paper on a desk, alluding to the desk where the director himself might work, and where his ideas happen.

KIDIC

The band had been around for a number of years as Kid Icarus and and contacted me as they were planning to relaunch as Kidic along with a new publicity push and a new EP.

They wanted a new website and image to go with this new phase. The brief was to create a mature, professional and established impression of the band and I achieved that with a design that uses strong typography, treated photographs and a simple and reserved layout.
